Opening times

 

You can visit St Mark Basilica from 9.30am (Sunday and Solemnities ‘of precept’ from 2pm) to 5.15pm (last admission: 4.45pm; ticket: 3 €; free for children up to 6 years of age), with the possibility to see also the Pala d’Oro (supplement: 5 €; free for children up to 6 years of age) and the Museum – Loggia dei Cavalli (supplement: 7 €; free for children up to 6 years of age).

On Sunday morning, from 9.30am to 2pm, you can visit only the Museum – Loggia dei Cavalli (ticket: 7 €; free for children up to 6 years of age).

Due to present Covid-19 regulations, on Saturday and Sunday, you can buy tickets only at the San Basso Ticket Office (Piazzetta dei Leoncini).

The Bell Tower opens every day from 9.30am to 9.15pm (last admission: 8.45pm; ticket: 10 €; free for children up to 6 years of age). In the event of adverse weather conditions (fog, strong wind, intense cold), the Bell Tower will be closed.

You can freely enter the Basilica for prayers, Mass and Services from the Porta dei Fiori (Piazzetta dei Leoncini – North-Side).

Visitors are recommended to respect this Sacred Place, in particular:

Clothes and behaviour must be appropriate for a place of worship;

– Professional and non-private use photographing and filming is forbidden;

Loud explanations are forbidden (use earphones);

– You cannot enter the basilica with luggage (there is a Luggage Storage in Piazzetta dei Leoncini, a few metres from the Basilica)
