Entrance
For prayers, Mass and Services, freely enter by the ‘Porta dei Fiori’ (North-side, Piazzetta ‘dei leoncini’).
Opening Times
The Basilica opens for prayers at 8 am each day, and closes at 7.30 pm.
Regular Mass and Services Times
Mass and Services are ordinarily celebrated by a canon of the Chapter of St Mark’s, while the Patriarch of Venice celebrates the main solemnities of the liturgical year.

Sacrament of Reconciliation
On weekdays 10am to 12 am and 6.30 pm to the end of the Mass; Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning (except during Vespers and Office of Readings).
Concelebrants
You would be very welcome to concelebrate at any public Mass at Basilica di San Marco. Please arrive at the Sacristy at least 10 minutes before the Mass is due to begin. Please be aware that you will be asked to show your ‘celebret’ or letter of recommendation to the Sacristan on entering the Sacristy and this will be needed if you wish to concelebrate at Mass.
Pilgrims
Pilgrims can ask to celebrate the Mass in a chapel of the Basilica writing to the Sacristy (sacrestia@procuratoriasanmarco.it).
Choirs
Choirs can offer to sing at the Mass on Saturday afternoon (6.45 pm) and at the Mass on Sunday (8.30 am and 6.45 pm) writing to the Sacristy (sacrestia@procuratoriasanmarco.it).
